What do the terms “Teaching Abroad”, “Teaching in the USA” and “Teaching Visa” mean?

Oct 18 2014

“Teaching Abroad”, “Teaching in the USA” and “Teaching Visa” are terms that almost always imply “full time teaching” exchanges that are reserved for professional teachers with at least 3 years of teaching experience. So that there is no confusion, CICD’s International Teaching Internship Program is NOT meant for professional teachers with at least 3 years teaching experience. ONLY qualified foreign university students enrolled in a degree or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the U.S. (e.g. university), or who will have graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to the first day of the proposed teaching internship program, may apply to intern / student teach abroad in the USA in relevant subject fields.
