This internship program begins with a 2 week language immersion at a language school in Munich. Available start dates: May 7, June 4, August 6, September 3, October 1, 2018 (24 lessons of 45 minutes per week + 6 lessons at their "Lernstudio"). Cultural activities are offered in the afternoons. Participants are accommodated with a host family (single room, breakfast and dinner included). Participants are placed at a 4 star hotel outside of Munich with gastronomic restaurants (1 Michelin star Chef) after the first 2 weeks to start their 8-10 week placement (savory and pastry side of the kitchens). Participants are provided shared staff accommodation, meals on and off duty, and a 200 euro stipend per month.Transportation to the internship site will be organized in cooperation with CICD's German partner organization. Follow-up during the placement is performed by CICD and its partner in Germany.
Current enrollment at a US or European college/university or recent graduate specialized in culinary or pastry arts (must have completed a minimum of 4 semesters).
