The teaching program in Vietnam offers you a chance to immerse yourself in the culture of this beautiful and exotic country. The program starts with a six day orientation in Ho chi Minh City or Saigon with other visiting teachers. You will be introduced to Vietnamese culture, take beginner language lessons, and learn everything you need to know about working and living in Vietnam. Afterwards, you will move on to your teaching placement in a school or university for one semester.

Placements can take place anywhere in Vietnam with children aged 4 years+ (kindergarten, primary, secondary, and vocational/higher education). Participants should expect to work full-time (about 35 hours per week), and placements last about 4 months.

Included in the program cost is the one-week orientation (including all meals, accommodation, training, and activities during this time) as well as ongoing welfare and academic support from the in-country team. You will earn a stipend of USD $700/month during the placement (average monthly salaries in Vietnam for Vietnamese people are around USD $180) and a USD $700 bonus upon successfully completing the program. Accommodation during the program will be provided by the placement school to participants (shared housing with other interns, single or shared room), and participants will be asked to contribute USD $60/month for utilities. Participants will need to apply for the correct visa and work permits in order to qualify.
This program helps you make amazing new friends, learn to speak Vietnamese, travel, and above all, make an impact on the lives of those you teach and work with! Nearly 300 students participate in this program each year.
