Program includes:
  • A declared (you are entitled to French health insurance) live-out job in France.
  • Flexible hours (5 to 25 hours per week): the job involves picking up French children from school,  playing with them at home, and teaching them English using innovative teaching methods.
  • Normal teaching schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri from 4:30pm to 7:00pm; half or full-day Wednesdays from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
  • Choice of the number of hours you’d like to work (5 to 20 hours per week), depending on availability. If a 20-hour per week job is insufficient, additional part-time jobs in Paris can be recommended.
  • Training program to familiarize you with the preferred teaching methodologies
  • A valuable and enjoyable experience: live in Paris, get acquainted with a French family, experience French culture, and meet other teachers.
Options and cost:
  • Option 1a:  US$950; up to 3 months (90 days maximum) – no visa required
    No French language classes

  • Option 1b:  US$3,000; up to 3 months (90 days maximum) – no visa required
    Includes French language classes (20 hours per week for 3 months)

  • Option 2:  US$4,360; up to 6 months – student visa required
    Includes French language classes (20 hours per week for 6 months)

  • Option 3:  US$5,500; up to 9 months – student visa required
    Includes French language classes (20 hours per week for 9 months) 

Program fee does not include: international flight to France, arrival and/or departure transfer, housing, local transportation and pocket money.

Program Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years old and a native English speaker
  • Must have experience working with children
  • No specific degree/diploma required
  • No minimum level of French language is required

Selection Process

Please email us your resume and cover letter in French or English, indicating your preferred program dates and duration, and a copy of your passport for pre-registration.

If your application is accepted by our partner in France, you will receive the final documents along with your invoice.

Recruitment Process and Deadlines for 
2015 Start Date (August 31st):
March - April : reviewing applications 
April : admission process begins
May/June/July : plan for your arrival in Paris. CICD can assist you with finding accommodation, enrolling in French courses, setting up complementary jobs, etc. Last week of August: Training session, meet with other teachers, meet your family/families

Other Start Date in 2016: January 4th
