Paid Culinary or Hospitality Internships in Argentina


CICD’s 3-6 month Paid Culinary or Hospitality Internship Program in Argentina provides a great opportunity for students of Culinary Arts or Hospitality to gain real work experience, learn a new language, and immerse themselves in a new culture.

We have structured our program in two phases, so participants can adapt to their new surroundings and learn the basic Spanish skills they need to succeed during their internship. Students begin their programs with an intensive Spanish language and cultural immersion course and then move on to complete 8- to 20-week paid internships with 3- and 4-star hotels and restaurants across Argentina.

3- to 6-month Paid Culinary Internship Program in Argentina includes a 4-week intensive Spanish language and cultural immersion course followed by an 8- to 20-week internship with an Argentinean hotel or restaurant.

Program Details

3- to 6-month Paid Culinary Internship Program in Argentina includes a 4-week intensive Spanish language and cultural immersion course followed by an 8- to 20-week internship with an Argentinean hotel or restaurant.

  • 4-week Intensive Spanish Course in Buenos Aires (optional for upper intermediate level Spanish speakers): 20 1-hour group lessons per week, Monday – Friday mornings or afternoons, plus an orientation tour of Buenos Aires, tango classes, and other cultural activities. The language program begins on Mondays.
  • 8- to 20-week Paid Culinary Internship Placement in Argentina (~40 hours per week). The internship begins on Mondays after the 2-week Intensive Spanish course. Student’s are placed in various areas across Argentina (Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Cordoba, etc.).

General Description of Internship: Internships take place in 3- to 4-star hotels and restaurants across Argentina. The main position in the kitchen is savory kitchen assistant or pastry assistant. The main hospitality position is in reception. Interns are paid about $150.00 per month.

Program Cost: The total cost for this 3-month Paid Culinary or Hospitality Internship Program in Argentina starts at $1,415.00 for Spanish speakers and $2,865.00 for non-Spanish speakers. The total cost of a 6-month Paid Culinary or Hospitality Internship Program in Argentina starts at $2,190.00 for Spanish speakers and $3,645.00 for non-Spanish speakers. Non-Spanish speakers are required to complete the intensive Spanish language course at the beginning of the program. Program Eligibility

Basic Requirements: Must be currently enrolled as a student, 18 to 35 years old, be a US or EU, Latin American, or South American citizen, and have an educational background in culinary arts or hospitality. Recent graduates may qualify as long as their school can sign a bilingual training agreement (Spanish/English) provided by our Argentinean partner.
