  Available J-1 Training/Internship Position - Facilities Management Intern

Start Date:03/15/11
Hours:40 hours/week
Compensation:$720 per month
Other Compensation:Housing provided
Location:Estes Park, CO
Duration:12 - 12 months

Summary:
This organization is one of the largest not-for-profit community service organizations in the United States. Its location consists of two year-round conference and family vacation centers, both located in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Both Centers offer affordable lodging in cabins or lodge rooms, meals and lots of activities for family vacations, reunions, groups, conferences and retreats. Estes Park Center is minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Snow Mountain Ranch is just a short distance from Winter Park. This is a great opportunity for an intern with a strong interest in outdoor activities and exploring Colorado during the internship.

Internship Duties and Activities:
  • Intern will assist the Office Coordinator with inventory control.
  • Intern will assist with grounds maintenance activities including managing trash and recycling programs, assessing landscaping impacts and managing natural resources.
  • Intern will train on and assist with managing the general maintenance of the facilities.
  • Intern will learn about and assist with building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, utility maintenance at the facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-3 of work experience in related field
  • Undergraduate Student in the field of: Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Show a strong interest in and/or have work experience in Facilities Management.
  • Advanced level of written and spoken English
  • Must be a hard worker and possess a positive attitude.
