   Available J-1 Training/Internship Position - Marketing Communications Intern

Start Date:open until filled
Hours:40 hours/week
Compensation:unpaid
Location:Jamaica, New York, NY
Duration:6 - 12 months

Summary:
This Library System is the largest circulating public library system in the U.S. and fifth largest in the world. Located in New York City, this internship will provide the opportunity to experience one of the most exciting cities in the U.S.

Internship Duties and Activities:
  • Intern will assist in the development of marketing/communications materials.
  • Intern will learn all aspects of the marketing communications discipline by daily interaction with professional staff.
  • Intern will be assigned a specific individual project to be completed by end of internship.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Student in the field of: Advertising, PR, Promotion, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Hard-working and eager to learn.
  • Experience and/or interest in customer service.
  • Professional communication skills (written and spoken) in English language.
  • Required Language Skills: High Level of English
