   Available J-1 Trainee/ Internship Position - Bicycle Advocacy Internship

Start Date(s): June - November 2009
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: unpaid, housing provided
Location: Prescott, AZ
Training Duration: 6 + months


Summary:
An international nonprofit that serves leaders of organizations who are working to increase bicycling. The organization offers management and bicycle campaign coaching as well as resources to help their efforts.


Training/Internship Duties and Activities:
  • Website improvements
  • Research to find the latest and best resources for organization management, bicycle campaigns, community planning and transportation design
  • Assist with Social Bike Business program
  • Assist with outreach to leaders and partners

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Some experience and skills in updating and building websites
  • Experience working with social networking applications
  • High interest in bicycling, transportation and community issues
  • Must enjoy working with many types of people
