  Available J-1 Trainee/ Internship Position - Real Estate Internship

Start Date(s): Fall 2009
Hours: 38 hours per week
Compensation: unpaid
Location: New York, NY
Training Duration: 3-12 months


Summary:
Company is a premiere brokerage and finance firm for investment in New Construction opportunities in Manhattan for both domestic and international clientele.


Training/Internship Duties and Activities:
  • Intern will shadow employees as they contact clients who show an interest in buying/financing/selling various types of real estate deals, etc.
  • Intern will learn about the different types of buildings and units in Manhattan and will learn about specific clients' needs and specifications.
  • Intern will assist with updating company website, tracking new listings and developments by doing online research and reading real estate publications, attending client meetings, contacting banks, visiting new construction developments.
  • Intern will attend client meetings with employees.
  • Intern will assist with researching various aspects of the real estate market.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current university student at an institution outside of the U.S. or graduate from such an institution within the past 12 months in business/finance/real estate or a related field
  • Proficient in English
  • Computer Skills necessary
