Our partner in Argentina offers professional internships for university students, graduates and young professionals in many areas of study and professional fields. Participants gain language skills as well as on-the-job experience in a foreign country. All internships are arranged individually, tailored to the specific qualifications of each participant. University credit may be available through arrangements with your home country university.

TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE

Interns are placed at companies, institutions, NGOs, and hospitals in Cordoba. Examples of internships include: arts & culture, computer programming, engineering, architecture, health care, social services, psychology, education, animal care (animal park, zoo), hotel, restaurant, travel/ tourism, horticulture, potentially other fields upon request.

LANGUAGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Participants must have appropriate Spanish skills and educational background in the requested internship field. Participants must attend an intensive preparatory Spanish language course of at least 4 weeks prior to the internship. 2 weeks minimum will be accepted for participants with an excellent command of Spanish. Participants receive a certificate of participation after successful completion of the language course.

ACCOMMODATION

Furnished rooming houses, host families or shared flats with locals are offered for the duration of the language course and the internship program. Prices range from $85 per week (shared room in a rooming house on self-catering basis) to $235 per week (home stay, single room, half board basis). Please click here for accommodation details.

PROGRAM COST INCLUDES:

Registration fees, airport pick-up, Spanish course (4 weeks, small group, 20 class hours per week), accommodation placement fee, 4 weeks accommodation (home stay (double room/half board basis) and placement fee for internship (including an Argentinean accident/liability insurance for first 4 weeks).

Additional costs to budget:

• Health Insurance
• Spending allowance (pocket money) during stay. We recommend budgeting approximately $300 per month for transportation, food, entertainment, etc.

PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY

Payment: Deposit to CICD upon registration = 50% of total program fees including nonrefundable deposit; remaining balance due CICD a minimum of 4 weeks before program start date.

Refund policy: Cancellation between 90 days to one week prior to planned program start date: $150 cancellation fee + one week accommodation. Cancellation 6 days or less prior to planned program start date: $150 cancellation fees + one week accommodation + one week language lessons + fees for airport pick up (and other unrecoverable expenses).
